What makes television better than another television show about privileged, pampered young women just trying to have a good time?
Bravo’s new reality series Princesses: Long Island follows six Jewish women who are proud of their religion and their lifestyles; reciting old Yiddish proverbs at the beginning of each episode. The Long Island divas reside with their parents despite being in their late twenties.
Cast members include Chanel, Joey, Amanda, Erica, Casey and Ashlee. Within the group is a nightclub waitress, a shoe-obsessed clean freak and an aspiring lip balm creator.
The series premiere aired in the beginning of June and brought in 1.24 million viewers. The show’s ratings have since taken a hit, failing to even hit one million viewers. The nine-episode season finale will air on July 28 on Bravo.
