The star from Third Watch and Guiding will appear in Fox’s multi-camera comedy pilot.
According to Deadline, Bonnie Denninson has landed a lead role in the comedy pilot produced by 30 Rock creator/co-showrunner Tina Fey, by the co-showrunner Robert Carlock and by the co-executive producer, Matt Hubbard.
The untitled comedy produced and exec. produced by Pam Fryman (How I Met Your Mother) is about a women’s college that for the first time in its history, begins accepting men.
Denninson will play the role of Thena (originally named Callie) who is a hard-core sophomore feminist and a leader of the population of Cabot College and of course, she doesn’t want men on campus. Still, her toughness is a mask for her romantic and vulnerable side.
Universal TV is producing alongside 3 Arts’ David Miner as exec. producer.
