Beam Aboard For More Adventures! Star Trek: Prodigy Sets Sail For Season Two On Netflix This July

Netflix has announced the release for the second season of the acclaimed sci to animated series,Star Trek: Prodigy. According to Screenrant, the series creators, Kevin and Dane Hageman (The Lego Ninjago Movie) originally streamed it on Paramount+, but was canceled , then brought back up on Netflix.

The first season tells the journey of a ragtag group of alien teenagers who encountered an abandoned starship dubbed the U.S.S Protostar. Armed with little knowledge the group explore the galaxy stopping at planets to led aid

The cast of the first season consists of Brett Gray (I’m a Virgo) as Dal, Rylee Alazraqui (Summer Camp Island) as Rok-Tahk, Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Pog, Ella Purnell (Fallout), Angus Imrie (The Kid Who Would Be King) as Zero

According to Screenrant, the second season will pick up from the finale, in which Dal and his friend will join Admiral Janeway on her mission to rescue Captain Chakotay voiced by Robert Beltran (Star Trek:Voyager) froman alternative timeline. Meanwhile, Gwyndala will try to prevent a future disaster on her planet.

With exciting new characters rumored to be joining the cast, for example Robert Picardo (Age of Tommorrow) who will voice the Doctor.

According to Screenrant, Bonnie Gordon (Show Time!)who done multiple voices on the shows has released a post on they official x page. The post gives detail the season will premier on July 1st with a brief description. The second season of the Star Trek: Prodigy will tie into every era within the franchise.

It is yet to be confirmed if the cast from season one will return to reprise their roles.

The new season promises to take the crew even deeper into uncharted territories and exploring new mysteries. While waiting for the second season to come out the entire first one is available to stream on Netflix.
