Set in London, the first season followed the arrest of UK Special Forces Lance Corporal Shaun Emery, played by Callum Turner (The Only Living Boy in New York). Acquitted from an Afghanistan war crime, Emery is accused of kidnapping and murdering his lawyer Hannah Roberts, played by Laura Haddock (Transformers: The Last Knight). Believed to have damning evidence of the crime with CCTV, it’s now up to Detective Inspector Rachel Carey, played by Holliday Grainger (Tell It to the Bees), to crack the case.
Supporting actors include Cavan Clerkin (Muscle), Ginny Holder (Her Own Rules), Barry Ward (Maze) and Ben Miles (Coupling).
The show that began with the “unjust arrest of an innocent man escalated into a multu-layered conspiracy of manipulated evidence,” via Jake Kanter of Deadline. Season 2 will pick up where it suggested Detective Carey joined a shady correction team she had previously worked to expose.
Created, written and directed by Ben Chanan (Cyberbully) in collaboration with Heyday Television and NBC Universal, the second season will see David Heyman (Paddington), Rosie Alison (The Very Thought of You), Tom Coan (The Long Song), Ben Irving (The Duchess), and Chanan return as executive producers with Kristian Dench (Strike Back) as the producer, via Deadline.
