BBC’s ‘Line Of Duty’ Unveils Season Six Trailer

The BBC original police drama series, Line Of Duty, is preparing to air its sixth season and has revealed its newest trailer ahead of its premiere, according to Deadline. Following the news that the series will extend its sixth season from six episodes to seven, the police drama will premiere its upcoming season on March 21 for BBC One. The series has previously aired five seasons, amassing 29 hour-long episodes over this course. Line of Duty was created for television by Jed Mercurio (The Grimleys) where he draws from his past occupation as a Royal Air Force officer.

Line of Duty centers on the Anti Corruption Unit 12 and has witnessed a revolving door of actors and actresses that have joined their squad in addition to their opposition, whether in the criminal world or within their own department. The upcoming sixth season will introduce Kelly Macdonald (Trainspotting) to the series in the form of Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson who is being brought on to solve a cold murder case. Additionally, the series will witness the return of actors Vicky McClure’s (Broachchurch, This Is England) DS Kate Fleming, Martin Compson (Sweet Sixteen) as DS Steve Arnott, Shalom Brune-Franklin (The State, Doctor Doctor) as DC Chloe Bishop, and Adrian Dunbar (Ashes to Ashes) as Superintendent Ted Hastings.

The extended sixth season of Line of Duty will continue to be executive produced by Mercurio alongside executives at BBC and ITV Studios. Check out the newly released season six minute-long trailer below:
