The BBC America network confirmed today their zombie apocalypse miniseries In the Flesh will return to the air for it’s second season in 2014, reported Indiewire.
The world of In the Flesh takes place in a town called Roarton, where a zombie apocalypse has happened, and “after months of rehabilitation and medication, the zombies, now known as PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) sufferers, are gradually being returned to their homes,” according to the network’s official website.
Main character of In the Flesh Kieren, played by Luke Newberry, and the rest of Roarton will pick up where season one left off and attempt to assimilate into their second chance at life. Indiewire notes some new characters will appear and throw off the balance of Roarton’s rebuilding.
Dominic Mitchell is the creator and writer of In the Flesh. The initial season consisted of just three episodes, but the upcoming second season will be longer with six episodes. Indiewire reported the second season will premiere in Spring 2014.
