A decade has passed since the iconic animated series, Phineas and Ferb, ended back in 2015 and is currently being revived and set for summer release. According to Comicbook, the series follows step brother duo Phineas Flynn, voiced by Vincent Martella (Role Model,Chibi Tiny Tales) and Ferb Fletcher, voiced by Thomas Sangster (Game of Thrones, Maze Runner:The Death Cure), who create outlandish projects and making every day of summer rememberable. The trailer offers a nostalgic yet fresh look at the familiar antics of the duo as they embark on another 104 days of summer vacation.
According to Comicbook, the revival is set to capture the same beloved spirit and humor that made the original series a hit, promising new adventures, catchy songs, and the same heartwarming family dynamics. This revival will surely be an exciting journey for new viewers for the series, as well as satisfying long-time fans at the same time.
According to Comicbook, the other returning voice actors, including Vincent and Thomas, are Ashely Tisdale (High School Musical, Aliens in the Attic) as Candace, Caroline Rhea (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Linda, Dan Povenmire (Hamster & Gretel, Living With Chucky) as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Jeff Marsh(Bounty Hamster, Milo Murphy’s Law) as Major Francis Monogram. While the boys are enjoying their summer adventures, their pet platypus, Perry, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker (The Bad Batch, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors), continues his double life as a secret agent, foiling Doofenshmirtz’s evil plans and destroying his inators.
According to Comicbook, the first wave of the Phineas and Ferb revival will consist of 40 new episodes, which could foreshadow additional season to be added. While fans await the release and information on the revival which is scheduled for June 6, the entire original Phineas and Ferb series is available to stream on Disney+.
