With the sixth season of the Emmy award winning show Slow Horses released today, Apple TV has renewed the series for an eighth season ahead of the premiere. We will see what else will befall the Slow House team in the world of espionage.
For those who don’t know, Slow Horses is a series about a group of dysfunctional group of MI5 agents who are tasked with defending London from those who wish to cause it harm. The leader of this group, Jackson Lamb, a brilliant agent who overtime has made a series of career-ending mistakes and manages to find himself at the butt end of the world of smoke and mirrors. The eighth season will be based on the ninth book of Mick Herron’s (Dead Lions, Real Tigers) Slough House series, titled Clown Town. According to Deadline, the logline for season eight will see Jackson Lamb and Diana Taverner face off in an explosive confrontation. After a failed attempt at blackmail, Taverner is placed on the offensive, leaving Lamb to unravel one of MI5’s darkest secrets and put a stop to the blackmail once and for all.
