The moment we’ve all been waiting for has officially come. Apple TV has released an official trailer for the sixth season of Slow Horses.
For those who don’t know, Slow Horses is a dark humor espionage series that follows a dysfunctional group of MI5 agents who are given the task of defending the UK from sinister forces. The leader of this ragtag group of agents is Jackson Lamb, a brilliant agent who made a series of career-ending mistakes and frequently finds himself at the butt end of the smoke and mirrors of espionage. According to Apple TV Press, for season six the Slow Horses are on the run as Diana Taverner, the deputy director-general of MI5 sends the team on a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.
In the trailer, we see that the Slow Horses are being targeted. Lamb goes to confront Taverner about this and she blows him off. The team must go dark until the threat has been taken care of. The stakes are high and the chips are down when it comes to the Slow Horses’ predicament, there is a lot of action and drama and it almost makes you wonder if the Slow Horses will make it out of this one alive?
The cast consists of Gary Oldman (Parthenope, Oppenheimer), Jack Lowden (Rogue Trooper, Vote Gavin Lyle), Kristin Scott Thomas (My Mother’s Wedding, Two Tickets to Greece), Saskia Reeves (Suez: 24 Hours That Broke the British Empire, National Theatre Live: End), Christopher Chung (My Brilliant Career, Dragon Striker), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Believe Me, Lonely No More), Rosalind Eleazar (Elizabeth II: The Unseen Photos, Frank & Louis), Jonathan Pryce (Flavia, Under Salt Marah), Ruth Bradly (Concordia, Embers), Tom Brooke (Empire of Light, The Crown), Bally Gill (The Vampire Lestat, Shelter), Samuel West (All Creatures Great & Small, Doctor Who: The War Doctor), Naomi Wirthner (Supergirl, Crookhaven), and Joanna Scanlan (Missed all, Riot Women).
