Apple TV+’s ‘Mythic Quest’ Drops Season 2 Trailer

The Apple TV+ original comedy series Mythic Quest is prepping for its second season. The streaming service has officially released the second season trailer for video game comedy series, according to Deadline. Premiering on February 7, 2020, Mythic Quest was an instant hit for the streaming service that has begun to roll out its original content that includes the successful comedy Ted Lasso and drama series The Morning Show. Prior to airing its first season consisting of ten half-hour episodes, Apple had already announced its second season renewal in January 2020.

Created by the likes of Megan Ganz (Modern FamilyCommunity), Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mythic Quest centered on the titular video game company that was aiming to develop the game Raven’s Banquet under the studio’s creative director Ian Grimm. Grimm, portrayed by McElhenney, is a long list of the series’ characters that includes Ashley Burch’s (Borderlands 2, Adventure Time, Attack on Titan) Rachel, Imani Hakim’s (Everybody Hates Chris) Dana, Danny Pudi’s (Community) Brad, F. Murray Abraham’s (Homeland, Amadeus) C.W. Longbottom, and more. The series case also includes Jessie Ennis (Valley Girl, Love), David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Charlotte Nicdao (Thor: Ragnarok). The second season is preparing to follow the characters and company as they attempt to make an expansion game off of Raven’s Banquet.

Ahead of the second season premiere on May 7, the series is ready to release another special episode, entitled “Everlight” on April 16, following the May 2020 “Quarantine” special episode. The upcoming special’s plot has not yet been specified. The second season will also see an influx of new actors including Caitlin McGee (Modern Love, Home Economics), Chris Naoki Lee (The Terror), Naomi Ekperigin (Blush), Humphrey Ker (The Brothers Faversham), and Jonathan Wiggs (The Invite), in addition to Derek Waters (Drunk History) and rapper Snoop Dogg.
