Apple Adds Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, And Chinaza Uche to Cast of ‘Wool’ Drama Series

An upcoming dystopian drama series has added three more to its cast at Apple TV+. Deadline reports Harriet Walter (Succession, Killing Eve), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead, Barry), and Chinaza Uche (Dickinson, Nigerian Prince) have joined the cast of Wool. The series from AMC Studios is based on the novels by Hugh Howey (Halfway Home, Shift).

According to Deadline, the three new cast members join the previously announced cast which includes Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, Reminiscence), Tim Robbins (Castle Rock, Jacob’s Ladder), David Oyelowo (The Water Man, Don’t Let Go), Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation, Black AF), and Common (Hell on Wheels, Never Have I Ever). Set in a dark future, a community lives several miles below ground in an ominous silo. Fearing what exists above, their society operates by a set of stringent beliefs and rules.

Walter has been cast as Martha Walker, a long-time engineer a part of the community’s Mechanical team, via Deadline. Nash will portray IT worker Lukas Kyle. His character will become more well-known after his interaction with Ferguson’s engineer, Juliette. Finally, Uche is Paul Billings, a member of the society’s judicial sector. He will work alongside the Silo’s Head of Security, Sims, played by Common. Along with Ferguson’s lead, Robbins will play the head of IT, Bernard. Oyelowo is Holston, the sheriff of the underground compound. And Jones will play Alison, Holston’s wife.

According to Deadline, the series is executive produced by Ferguson, writer Graham Yost (Boomtown, Justified) and director Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game, Headhunters). They are joined by Ingrid Escajeda (Sneaky Pete, APB), Nina Jack (Better Call Saul, Out of Time), Fred Golan (Falling Skies, October 22), and Remi Aubuchon (24, Caprica).

Howey’s New Times best-selling novels are part of his Silo series, with the first book being published in 2012. Beginning as a novella a year prior, the series went on to spawn two more books, a set of short stories, and a graphic novel.
