The fourth and final day of North America’s largest anime convention yielded some final surprises and trips down memory lane. Here are some of the highlights.
Jujitsu Kaisen Gets Season Three Update, But No Release Date
A panel for martial arts shonuen Jujitsu Kaisen headlined the morning, with Yuji voice actor Junya Enoki (Your Lie in April, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) reconfirming that season three of the MAPPA series had already made plenty of headway towards completion, as evidenced by some storyboard sketches shown off to the audience. While no trailer or release date was provided, Enoki verified that season three will feature an adaptation of the manga’s ‘Culling Game’ arc, Jujitsu’s iteration of the tournament arc that has long been a staple of the genre. Fellow voice actor Megumi Okata (Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun, Yu Yu Hakusho), who voices Yuta in the series, meanwhile teased the confrontation between Yuta and Yuji that was alluded to at the end of season two. “I started recording already, and I can tell you that the battle scenes are on a different level,” Enoki added.
Robotech Celebrates 40 Years of Toys, Novels, And More
Cult classic and science fiction progenitor Robotech hosted a panel as part of the 2025 Robotech Convention Tour to celebrate forty years of the franchise. Developers shared key art from the series’ production while leading audiences in a walk down memory lane, exploring some of the franchise’s most renowned toys, novelizations, and episodes of the 1985 anime that started it all. The panel finished with a Q and A for fans that have been with the series since the beginning. Those waiting for announcements of new Robotech content, though, such as Warner Bros.’ upcoming live-action movie, will have to keep waiting.
Kaiju No. 8 Voice Actors Share Season Two Preview, Bromance, Godzilla Crossover
Finally, some of the voices behind monster battle anime Kaiju No. 8 shared a preview of season two of the series, which is airing later this same month on July 19th. Nazeeh Tarsha (Street Fighter 6, Genshin Impact) and Masaya Fukunishi (Tokyo Revengers, Pop Team Epic), who each perform the role of the series’ monstrous protagonist Kafaka Hibino in their respective language, also discussed their methodology behind their take on the character, and their long-distance friendship over a mutual love of the character. The panel ended with the pair exchanging kisses on the cheek, but not before they shared an illustration from animator Masahiro Maera (King of Fighters: Maximum Impact, Princess Crown) that made good on the promise of a long-teased crossover between the series and Godzilla — though whether this is the full extent of the crossover is unclear.

Anime Expo 2025 may be over, but the convention’s official Instagram page has already confirmed a return to the same venue next year, meaning mega-fans can already start counting off the days until they can brush off their cosplays and engage with all things anime.
