Anders is moving from the office to the gym.
Deadline reports that Anders Holm (Workaholics, The Mindy Project) is set to star in a new untitled single-camera comedy for NBC. The series comes from Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project, The Office) and Charlie Grandy (The Mindy Project, The Office, SNL, The Daily Show) with a pilot directed by Michael Spiller (The Mindy Project, Modern Family). Kaling will also have a recurring role in the series.
Holm joins Mouzam Makkar (The Exorcist, The Vampire Diaries) in the series about Vince (Holm), a gym owner, who raises a teenage son with his idiot younger brother Michael. Kaling plays Priya, Vince’s old high school romance and mother of his son.
Holm co-created and stars in Comedy Central’s long-running hit series Workaholics, which is currently airing its seventh season. He also had a recurring role on Kaling’s The Mindy Project as ex-fiancé Casey Peerson.
The untitled comedy series is being produced by Universal TV, Kaling International and 3 Arts Entertainment. Kaling, Grandy and Howard Klein executive produce.
