The cast list for Fox’s X-Men pilot keeps growing. SuperHeroHype reported that Amy Acker has joined the show, where she’ll be playing the female lead of the show.
Acker joins Stephen Moyer and Blair Redford who have already been cast in the still-untitled pilot for Fox.
The show focuses on two parents who discover that their children have mutant powers. When the government finds out about them, they must go on the run and end up in an underground community of mutants that they stay with in order to survive.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Acker will portray Kate Stewart, who is struggling with a separation from her husband while also struggling raising her kids.
Two other characters were also cast in addition to Acker. Emma Dumont will portray Lorna Dane, though she’s better known by Polaris. She’s able to manipulate magnetism and is incredibly strong-willed.
Percy White has also been cast and he will portray Andy, who, despite a constantly changing home life, tries to keep to himself and is a bit of a lone wolf.
Others who are starring in the show include Jamie Chung, Natalie Alyn Lind and Sean Teale.
Matt Nix had written the pilot and Bryan Singer will be directing the pilot. The two are also credited as executive producers, along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. 20th Century Fox is producing the show along with Marvel Television.
