According to Deadline, FX has announced that American Horror Stories will be coming back with a four-episode “Huluween” event series on Hulu on October 26. The anthology series is a spinoff of American Horror Story, both created by Ryan Murphy (Glee, The Watcher) and Brad Falchuk (Scream Queens, 9-1-1), and each episode depicts a different scary story.
Lisa Rinna (Good Advice, Nick Fury: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) will star in an episode titled “Tapeworm”, however, other details about the episode remain unknown.
The first season of American Horror Stories debuted July 15, 2021 on Hulu and the second aired on July 21, 2022.
Actors that have been featured in American Horror Stories include Danny Trejo (Spy Kids, Heat), Matt Bomer (The Sinner, White Collar), Paris Jackson (Scream, Star), Denis O’Hare (The Pyramid, Swallow), Kevin McHale (Glee, True Blood), Billie Lourd (Booksmart, Scream Queens), Dylan McDermott (The Practice, Steel Magnolias), Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, The Crush), Max Greenfield (New Girl, The Neighborhood), and Judith Light (Ugly Betty, One Life to Live).
The franchise is produced by 20th Television and American Horror Stories is executive produced by Falchuk, Murphy, Max Winkler (Flower, Ceremony), Jon Robin Baitz (The Substance of Fire, Brothers and Sisters), Alexis Martin Woodall (The Boys in the Band, The Prom), and Manny Coto (Star Kid, The Other Me).
Murphy and Falchuk recently announced that season 12 of American Horror Story will premiere in two parts, beginning on Wednesday, September 20 with American Horror Story: Delicate.
The season is from series showrunner Halley Feiffer (How to Make Friends and Then Kill Them, I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard) and is described as modern feminist take of Rosemary’s Baby and partially based on the thriller novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine (Delicate Condition, How to Survive Your Murder). It follows a woman who is convinced that a sinister figure is trying to make sure her pregnancy doesn’t happen.
