AMC Greenlights Two New Drama Projects

The network has ordered pilots for both dramas Knifeman and Galyntine.

AMC has two new projects in mind. The entertainment company has ordered pilots of the drama series Knifeman and Galyntine. Both shows will be to shot next year for a 2015 premiere consideration.

Galyntine, written by drama vet Jason Cahill, is set in a post-apocalyptic world where small bands of survivors are forced to adapt without access to any forms of technology.

Knifeman, drama set in London in the 18th century,  follows a hard-living renegade surgeon who harvests dead bodies for extra cash from the local medical teaching hospital. This project is inspired by the biography The Knife Man: Blood, Body Snatching and the Birth of Modern Surgery by Wendy Moore.
