David Tynan passed away November 11 after a five-year battle with pancreatic cancer; he was 62.
According to Deadline, the long time television writer’s credits include Highlander, Poltergeist: The Legacy, First Wave, Scene of the Crime and Flash Gordon. He was supervising producer for Highlander, Poltergeist: The Legacy and First Wave. Tynan was a Writers Guild of Canada and Writers Guild of America West member. In 1996, Tynan received the WGC’s Leo Award for Best Screenwriter – Dramatic Television Series.
