Prime Video released updates on their new Muhammad Ali series in the works The Greatest. Omari Hardwick (The Mother) and Dana Gourrier (Raising Dion) will be staring as Muhammad Ali’s parents. Fans share excited over casting and await their performance.

Ali is well-known in history as one the greatest boxers of all time. Not only was he a boxer but a social activist. Ali went down in history for his career that spanned twenty-one years. In those decades Ali only faced five losses. Ali won fifty-six times and landed thirty-seven knockouts. Despite his great career Ali faced discrimination as a black athlete. His challenges even went as far as being stripped of his heavy weight title. The show will also take a deep dive on the things he faced in his career. 

The Greatest will feature all aspects of Muhammad Ali’s life. Focusing on career achievements and how he got to the point of his great success. As well as a deeper dive into his personal relationships. The series will highlight who he was as a friend and a son. The importance of this series is to show who Muhammad Ali was behind the stardom. 

The series expects great success not only because of the plot but also the onboarding of Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) who will be executive producing. Jordan’s producing techniques have been in high praise. Jordan produced films such as, Fahrenheit 451 and A Journal For Jordan. Jordan’s production company Outlier Society will also be featured in the series. Outlier Society made a deal with Amazon MGM Studios for production. This is the first permitted scripted series that on Ali. The show has been in the works since 2019, and with many years of development, Prime is ready to bring light to all the details. Fans are buzzing and anticipate a release date.
