Amazon Announces The Cast For Upcoming Series ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’

Amazon has just announced the cast for its upcoming series I Know What You Did Last Summer, According to Deadline.  The new horror series will feature actors: Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next Level), Brianne Tju (Light as Feather), Ezekiel Goodman (Rat Bastard), Ashley Moore (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Sebastian Amoruso (Solve), Fiona Rene (Stumptown), Cassie Beck (High Maintenance), Brooke Bloom (Marriage Story), and Bill Heck (Netflix’s Locke & Key). News of the development for the upcoming Amazon horror series was first made available back in October 2020.

As reported by Deadline, Sara Goodman (Preacher) will write the series, and serve as an executive producer. Goodman will be joined by executive producers: Shay Hatten, Original Film’s Neal Moritz and Pavun Shetty, Erik Feig and Atomic Monster’s James Wan, Rob Hackett, and Micheal Clear. The new series is modern adaptation of the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer, based on the 1973 novel of the same name, written by Lois Duncan. 

No word yet on which actor is cast for which role but production is slated to begin on an unspecified date this month in Hawaii. Below is a list of the newly announced I Know What You Did Last Summer series cast and their previous bodies of work

Iseman is most known for her role in the 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle and 2019 sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level. Iseman has shared the screen alongside big Hollywood stars like Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. Iseman is set to appear in Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller Fear Of Rain. According to IMDb, Iseman plays the lead, Rain. “A girl living with schizophrenia struggles with terrifying hallucinations as she begins to suspect her neighbor has kidnapped child. The only person who believes her is Caleb -a boy she isn’t even sure exists.” via IMDb

Tju scored two Emmy nominations for her role as Alex Portney in Hulu’s hit series, Light as a Feather. The premise of the show centers around “A group of teenage girls must deal with supernatural fallout stemming from an innocent game of “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board” when they start dying off in the exact way predicted.” via IMDb. Tju can be seen alongside Nia Long and John Corbett in the film 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. Tju also has a long roster of guest appearances on shows like The CW’s iZombie, NBC’s A.P. Bio, Save Me and more.

Moore’s lucky break came when she landed a feature role in Judd Apatow’s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Moore has also guest starred on Freeform’s series Alone Together.

Amoruso currently holds the recurring role of, Wes on the Snapchat original Solve. According to the AppStore the series is “Part reality show, part interactive mystery, “Solve” is an original Snapchat production that lays out the details surrounding murder most foul—and lets you vote on who the culprit might be.” via AppStore

Rene is best known for her role, Kara Lee on the ABC drama Stumptown. The Chinese American actress has also appeared in Emmy nominated series’ like Jane The Virgin and Grey’s Anatomy.

Beck plays Jasmin, a recurring role on the socially distanced, pandemic friendly comedy Connecting. The NBC series is about a group of friends who try to stay in contact with each other while living through a pandemic. Beck is slated to also opposite Mark Walberg and Connie Britton in a new feature, Good Joe Bell. According to IMDb, the film is about “The true story of small town, working class father who embarks on a solo walk across the U.S. to crusade against bullying after his son is tormented in high school for being gay.” via IMDb

Bloom previously appeared in Amazon’s Homecoming and Alpha House. Bloom most recently appeared opposite Matt Bomber and Bill Pullman in the third season of USA’s The Sinner. 

Heck stars as Rendall Locke in Netflix’s Locke & Key. The series is about three Locke siblings and their mother discovering magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. You can also find Heck in Apple TV+’s anthology series Little America
