Amazon And BBC Thriller ‘Chloe’ Cast Includes ‘The Crown’ Star Erin Doherty

The cast has been set for the Amazon and BBC thriller series entitled Chloe, according to The Hollywood ReporterErin Doherty (The Crown), Billy Howle (The Serpent), Pippa Bennett-Warner (Gangs of London), and Jack Farthing (Poldark) have been cast in the six-episode series created by Alice Seabright (Sex Education).

Among the youngest castmember announced, Doherty is most well known for her portrayal of Princess Anne in the fourth season of The Crown. Also starring Poppy Gilbert (Stay Close), Akshay Khanna (Grace), Brandon Micheal Hall (Search Party), and in his debut role, Alexander Eliot, Chloe tells the tale of mystery, deceit, and grief. It follows Becky, played by Doherty, who lives with her mom at a temp job. Constantly comparing her not-so-glamorous life to the picture-perfect lives on Instagram, Becky continues to return to one account – Chloe’s, played by Gilbert. In order to find out how such a seemingly perfect person could have died so suddenly, Becky assumes an alter ego with her best friend, Livia, played by Bennett-Warner, in order to find out how.

On the cast, characters, and her excitement for the series to air, Seabright stated, “Becky is a complex, courageous heroine and there is no one better to play her than Erin. All these characters have been a dream to write, and it now feels like they’ve found their soulmates in our amazing cast. I can’t wait to start bringing the show to life with them, and with our wonderful crew. Thank you to the BBC and Amazon, to our brilliant writers, Kayleigh Llewellyn, Poppy Cogan, and Bolu Babalola,” via The Hollywood Reporter

Chloe is currently in production, being shot in the British city of Bristol. Seabright serves as creator, writer, director, and executive producer alongside Tally Garner (Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell) and Morven Redi (Pure).
