Ali Wentworth Tests Positive for Coronavirus, Stating She’s ‘Never Been Sicker’

Ali Wentworth, stand-up comedian, actress, and wife of Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos, revealed her coronavirus diagnosis via Instagram on Wednesday, according to CNN. In her caption, Wentworth stated that she has “never been sicker” and cited feelings of chest tightness, high fever, in addition to aches and pains all over her body. She called into the Thursday edition of Good Morning America to thank everyone for their support.

Wentworth established herself through her status as a regular cast member for Kennen Ivory Wayans’ sketch comedy show In Living Colour. The comedian made her lasting impressions on audiences with her celebrity impressions of Hillary Clinton, Brooke Shields, and many others. She is also well known for her guest role in the iconic Seinfeld episode “Soup Nazi” as Jerry Seinfeld’s overly affectionate girlfriend Sheila. Additionally, Wentworth has had various film credits in films such as 1999’s Office Space and 2009’s It’s Complicated. Recently, the comedian created and starred in Pop’s Nightcap which followed her character Staci Cole as a talent booker for a somewhat popular late-night series Nightcap with Jimmy as she interacts with various celebrities.

Currently, Wentworth is quarantining herself at home under the supervision of her husband, Stephanopoulos and has continued to pass along the message for others to stay at home in order to contain this virus.
