Al Pacino Set to Join Jordan Peele & Amazon’s “The Hunt”

Al Pacino is set to be included among the already A-list array of actors who are making the leap into the land of streaming. The 8-time Oscar nominee and 1-time Oscar winner is nearing a deal that would allow him to join Amazon’s latest in-production drama called The Hunt. The series gained a lot of traction, regarding notice, when it credited Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment. With the first-time Oscar nominee and breakout filmmaker, Joran Peele is set to executive produce alongside his studio partner Win Rosenfeld, sharing the spotlight with Tom Lesinski and Henna Santoianni from Sonar. Nikki Toscano (24 & Legacy) and David Weil are also set to executive produce as well as serve as the co-showrunners.

The deal has not yet been signed, but if signed, Pacino would join the likes of Logan Lerman in the 10-episode series that is set to stream on Amazon. Lerman plays a young man whose grandmother is murdered and becomes swept up in The Hunt organization as he tries to find the perpetrator. Pacino would then play a veteran Nazi hunter who mentors Lerman’s character as the show centers around a band of Nazi hunters in New York City circa 1977. They discover that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials have made a home in the United States and plan to create a Fourth Reich there, so they then set out on a bloody mission to stop the plan.

This would be Pacino’s first series-regular role. A former Emmy-award winner for HBO’s Angels in America and You Don’t Know Jack, Al Pacino is one of the best and brightest still working today, and it with his name added to the series alongside the popular name of Jordan Peele, the series might have more eyeballs looking towards its release.
