‘Ahsoka’ Gets New Premiere Date on Disney+

According to TV Line, Ahsoka has been given a new premiere date on Disney+. The series was originally set to debut on August 23 and is now releasing the first two episodes on August 22 at 9 p.m. ET.

After the two-episode premiere, season one will release new episodes weekly on Tuesday evenings at 9 p.m. ET. Season one of Ahsoka will consist of eight episodes in total.

Ahsoka follows the titular character, former padawan to Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Knight, as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy after the fall of the Empire.

The series stars Rosario Dawson (Men in Black II, The Mandalorian) as Ahsoka Tano along with Hayden Christensen (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones) as Anakin Skywalker, Ray Stevenson (Rome, Thor) as Baylan Skoll, Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs, Day Shift) as Sabine Wren, and Mary Elisabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Sky High) as Hera Syndulla.

The cast also includes Eman Efandi (Red 11, I am Mackenzie) as Ezra Bridger, Ivanna Sakhno (The Spy Who Dumped Me, The Reunion) as Shin Hati, Lars Mikkelsen (The Day Will Come, Face to Face) as Grand Admiral Thrawn, David Tennant (Doctor Who, Good Omens) as droïde Huyang, Diana Lee Insonato (The Snesei, The Prodigy) as Morgan Elsbeth, and Genevieve O’Reilly (Tin Star, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as Mon Mothma.

Season one of Ahsoka was directed by Dave Filoni (The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Greeta Patel (House of the Dragon, The Magicians), Rick Famuyiwa (Brown Sugar, The Mandalorian), Steph Green (Run & Jump, New Boy), and Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Rise of the Guardians).
