The trailer and release date for Adult Swim’s Blade Runner: Black Lotus have been released at this year’s New York Comic Con, according to Space. The series will consist of 13, half-hour episodes that are slated to premiere on Saturday, November 13.
Black Lotus follows a fictional universe, a decade after “Black Out 2022.” A woman wakes up with no recollection of where she is, with the only clues being a locked data device and a tattoo of a black lotus flower. Using these clues, she must find the people responsible for her past to untangle the mystery of who she is. The protagonist, named Elle, will be voiced by Jessica Henwick (Love and Monsters) in the English dub and Arisa Shida (Wise Man’s Grandchild) for the Japanese dub. Barkhad Abdi (Blade Runner 2049), Josh Duhamel (Transformers), and Brian Cox (Succession) will also be featured in the series.
Other limited series comic books by Titan Comics also exist in the Blade Runner universe, including Blade Runner 2019, which consists of Vol. 1: Los Angeles, Vol. 2: Off-world, and Vol. 3: Home Again, Home Again, which will be released on December 7. Blade Runner 2029 and Blade Runner: Origins are also available for purchase. The trailer for Blade Runner: Black Lotus can be watched below.
