The seventh season of the animated adult adventure comedy series premiered on October 15th, with the second episode a week later on the 22nd. The third episode, titled “Air force Wong”, is scheduled to air on October 29th.
Rick and Morty follows Rick Sanchez, played by Ian Cardoni (Clear History) and his grandson Morty Smith, played by Harry Belden (Christmas Again), as they go on adventures through different dimensions. Rick is an alcoholic and talented scientist who operates his inventions out of his daughter and son-in-law’s garage. In the pilot episode, Rick re-emerges into his family’s life after being absent for twenty years, and since moving in with his family, has dragged them into all sorts of interdimensional trouble. Morty is an impressionable teenager who frequently joins his grandfather’s antics due to being easily talked into dangerous situations by him. The show made its initial debut in 2013, being created by Dan Harmon (Community) and Justin Roiland (Fish Hooks).
Via Comicbook, when asked about season seven, Ouweleen said “I think for the canon minded it’s great and you’ll love it. And Season 7 sees whole new characters and new worlds actually that we haven’t seen. So kind of about midseason we’re going to see stuff we’ve never seen before…”
