Actress Nicki Aycox Who Played In ‘Supernatural’ Dead at 47

Nicki Aycox (Perfect Stranger, Dark Angel), the actress who played on Supernatural as Meg Masters, passed away at age 47 last week, as announced by her family, according to CNN. The actress’s sister-in-law Susan Raab Ceklosky revealed the tragic news on Thursday, November 17, 2022, via her Facebook page.

“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side,” she wrote. “Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter and everyone who knew her loved her.”

The cause of Aycox’s death has not been disclosed, but the actress announced last year via Instagram that she had unfortunately been diagnosed with leukemia.

“I became very ill thinking I had covid in Jan and Feb. well things came to a head,” the TV star wrote alongside a photo of her in the hospital with a shorn head. “I ended up in a hospital diagnosed with Lukemeia. I want everyone to know I’m doing incredibly well and fighting my way thru chemo. I will update with a better pic of myself, and talk about staying positive thru the worst of times. Take care of yourself all! I’ll be back better, stronger, and wiser!,” she wrote at the time, according to CNN.

Aycox was an Oklahoma native who acquired one of her first television roles in the USA series adaptation of the movie Weird Science in 1996, according to Huffington Post.

Supernatural and The Boys creator Eric Kripke (Boogeyman, Revolution) also took to social media to mourn the loss of the actress. “Gutted to hear the great #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, passed away. Too young. She was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom. I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary,” tweeted Kripke via his personal Twitter account.
