ABC has renewed Celebrity Wife Swap for a third season.
The reality series has been given an order for thirteen more episodes, the Hollywood Reporter confirms.
Last season of the show featured celebrities Kate Gosselin, Bristol Palin, Melissa Rivers, Andy Dick, Kendra Wilkinson, Coolio and Alan Thicke. Like the original, Celebrity Wife Swap exchanges wives with dramatically different lifestyles.
The Hollywood Reporter continues to explain that the show averaged a solid 1.8 rating among the adult 18-49 category and 5.4 million viewers during its most recent in-season run, benefiting from a modest DVR boost as well.
The summer cycle has struggled to produce ratings, bringing in series-lows. The Sunday night episodes recently showed just a 0.9 rating in the key demographic, tying an America’s Funniest Home Videos repeat.
