According to Deadline, ABC’s drama pilot Judgment, starring Sarah Shahi (Chicago Fire, Supernatural) and from Joey Falco (Charmed, Sleepy Hollow), has cast Reid Scott (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Veep) and François Arnaud (The Borgias, The Moodys) as male leads. The series is written and executive produced by Falco at 20th Television.
Judgment is a legal soap that depicts two separate timelines. In the first timeline, Shahi’s character, Mia, is vetted for a Supreme Court seat fifteen years in the future. During the nomination process, she describes her experiences in a D.C. law firm back in 2023, the show’s second timeline. Here Mia tackles controversial cases while being stuck between two feuding brothers, Tommy and Leo Quinn, played by Scott and Arnaud, respectively.
Tommy Quinn is a charming, arrogant, and powerful defense attorney and partner at one of the most successful law firms in D.C. He is quickly attracted to his brother Leo’s girlfriend, Mia, and lures her to his firm.
Leo Quinn is the Deputy Solicitor General and righteous attorney. He is a sweet and loyal partner to Mia but is tested when her goals start to conflict with his own ambitions.
Falco will produce with Jordan Cerf, Shahi, Jake Kasden (New Girl, Bad Teacher), and Melvin Mar (Red One, Lucky Grandma).
Scott is in the fourth and fifth seasons of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and starred in all seven seasons of HBO’s Veep. He is repped by Goodman Genow Shenkman, Gersh, and Impression Entertainment.
Arnaud will be featured in the second season of Showtime’s Yellowjackets and stars in CBC’s Plan B with Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars, Sister Cities) and Patrick J. Adams (Suits, NCIS). He is repped by Anonymous Content and APA.
