The unveiling of the set for HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television series has sent ripples of excitement through the fandom, but there has been a subtle, but significant change to the iconic King Crossing scene from the film version. In accordance with Screenrant, a recent released Tiktok video showcases the whole Weasley family which include Ron, played by Alastair Stout, Ginny, played by Gracie Cochrane (Blitz), Fred, played by Tristan Harland (The Last Kingdom) and George, played by Gabriel Harland (The Last Kingdom) go to a transit station and walking through what appears to be the gateway to platform 9 ¾.

As reported by Screenrant, this station is where Harry Potter, played by Dominic McLaughlin (Morgenmagazin) will first meet the Weasley family.With the inclusion of Molly Weasley, played by Katherine Parkinson (Taskmaster, Rivals), in the video, this could symbolize an extended scene with the entire Weasley family together before Ron’s departure to Hogwarts. The decision to recreate the iconic platform, instead of reusing the one from the Polar Film, shows the production team’s dedication to making the series true to the book.

According to Screenrant, the production is a long-term project, with filming expected to continue into 2026 and a possible premiere in late 2026 or 2027.  This will not be the end for the Harry Potter series, as it has been green lit for a second season, which will begin production immediately after the premiere of the first season.

This series will serve as a  fresh start for the franchise, designed to attract a new generation of viewers while satisfying the book’s long-time fans. With a star-studded cast, the Harry Potter TV series will undoubtedly capture the same level of magic and fantasy that has made the franchise so beloved.
