

A new game is afoot with new information surrounding the upcoming second season of Guy Richie’s (The Gentlemen, Fountain of Youth) original series, Young Sherlock. According to Screenrant, the series focuses on a 19 year old Sherlock, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin (The Tunnel, Safe), who was a student at Oxford University, until he discovered his first murder case and dragged into a wider conspiracy, with the finale revealed the true culprit behind the crimes being his father, Silas Holmes, played by Joseph Fiennes (Sherwood, The Mother).
Reported by Screenrant, after the first season’s finale was a huge success, garnering over 45 million views and quickly becoming one of the 10 Prime Video originals. The series show runner and creator, Matthew Parkhill (Rogue, Twist), revealed that the production of the second season is underway and released behind the scene footage on his official Instagram page. The photos shows that Sherlock is embarking in a new mystery and seems to be in a new location.

Stated by Screenrant, season two is poised to transport Sherlock to unknown danger and a battle of wits between his mortal nemesis, James Moriarty, who will be played by Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time, Albion). With little information to go off of, fans can only theorize on who will be joining Tiffin and Finn in the approaching journey and what the plot will entail. The upcoming season is sure to deliver the same captivating blend of mystery and action that made its predecessor so incredibly popular.
