Netflix has just unveiled a tantalizing first look into the upcoming second season of the highly acclaimed series, Wednesday.But this time, showcasing the rest of the Addams Family. According to Comicbook, the previous season already introduced most of the family members being Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega (Death of a Unicorn, Scream), Pugsley played by Isaac Ordonez (A Wrinkle in Time,7th & Union), Morticia played by Catherine Zeta-Jones ( The Terminal, Ocean’s Eleven), Gomez played by Luis Guzmán (Turbo, Genie) and Fester, played by Fred Armisen (The Lego Ninjago Movie,The Super Mario Bros. Movie).
According to Comicbook, the newly revealed poster for the season introduces new additions to the Addams family: a new Lurch, portrayed by Joonas Suotamo (The Acolyte, The Last Jedi), and Grandmama Hester Frump, played by Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once, Ella Enchanted). The official storyline for the second season promises to be darker and more complex, with Wednesday facing another spine-chilling mystery to solve while navigating new friends and foes during her days at Nevermore.
Of course, fans will see returning characters from Nevermore Academy, such as Enid, played by Emma Myers (The Minecraft Movie, Family Switch), Tyler, played by Hunter Doohan (Daredevil: Born Again, Soundwave), and Bianca, played by Joy Sunday (Dog, Bad Hair). According to mxdwn, the future case that Wednesday will pursue is likely linked to the notorious senders who have been sending her cryptic messages since the season one finale.
According to Comicbook, the family will play a crucial part in the new season, as Pugsley will be a student at Nevermore alongside Wednesday, and roommate with Eugene, played by Moosa Mostafa (The Last Bus, Nativity Rocks!).
As fans anticipate the release of the second season, which will be divided into two parts, the first part is set to premiere on August 6, followed by the second part on September 3. In the meantime, the entire first season of Wednesday is available to stream on Netflix.
