With the fifth and final season of the highly acclaimed Prime Video series, The Boys, currently in progress, the series creator Eric Kripke (Supernatural) delivers chilling prediction to all viewers. According to Comicbook, Kripke, in an interview with Deadline, states that in the upcoming episodes,” there will probably be lots of deaths and there’s no guarantee of who’s gonna survive.” The journey within the series has seen its fair share of blood and gore, and it isn’t surprising that no matter how beloved a character is, it doesn’t mean they will be safe.
The fifth season will follow from the events from the previous one with the Boys going their own ways, but soon ambushed from allies of Homelander, played by Antony Starr (G20, Cobweb), which include Cate, played by Maddie Phillips (Ghost Wars, The Detour) and Sam, played by Asa Germann (Scream 7, Gen V).
According to Comicbook, Colby Minifie (Homebody, The Surrender), who plays Ashley Bennenet in The Boys goes on to address about the the series wrap up.
“Sometimes things go on too long and then it starts to run away from you and you don’t get to tell the story you want to tell. When the announcement came out, Kripke said we get to end it on our terms, which I think is a really beautiful thing. The best stories have a beginning, middle, and end. Knowing the end is in five, we were able to tell the middle really well.”
While waiting for the release of the upcoming season to arrive, all previous seasons of The Boys, as well as the spinoff, Gen V are available to stream on Prime Video.
