According to TVLine, Max has recently revealed a new official teaser trailer for their upcoming spinoff of The Batman titled The Penguin. The series was ordered by Max over two years ago and will include eight episodes. The mini-series that will follow a gangster in the city of Gotham is scheduled to premiere on the streamer in the fall. The trailer shows a look at what is to come from the series.

The Penguin is a mini-series spinoff of Matt Reeves’ (War for the Planet of the Apes, 10 Cloverfield Lane) The Batman. Based on the DC Comics character, the series will follow the character the Penguin and explore his rise to power in the Gotham City criminal underworld.
The series cast includes Colin Farrel (The Lobster, In Bruges) as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother, The Wolf of Wall Street) as Sofia Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz (Runaways, Encanto) as Victor Aguilar, Myles Humphus (The equalizer, Saturday Night Live) as Dom Gigante, Berto Colon (Power Book II: Ghost, Orange Is the New Black) as Castillo, Alex Anagnostidis (The Irishman, We Own This City) as Ray, Emily Meade (Dead Ringer, The Deuce) as Young Francis, Craig Walker (FBI: Most Wanted, Blue Bloods) as Detective Marcus Lovette, Ava Grey (Run Sweetheart Run, Star-Crossed: The Film) as Cinnamon, Adrienne Acevedo Lovette (The Other Two, Right in the Left Lane) as Billie Carson and many others.
The Penguin will be executive produced by Reeves, Farrell, Dylan Clark (Bird Box), Lauren LeFranc (Hemlock Grove, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Craig Zobel (Mare of Easttown, One Dollar), and Bill Carraro (American History X, Blade Runner 2049). LeFranc will also be serving as showrunner for the series. Zobel was responsible for directing the first three episodes.
