HBO Max’s Hacks is all set for another season. An official trailer is now available as the premiere date approaches. Hacks feature the story of Deborah Vance, a legendary Las Vegas stand-up comedy diva who seeks to maintain relevance in a world full of fresh talents. A young comedy writer Ava Daniels comes into Vance’s life, and the two eventually team up to create unique comedy materials despite their differences.
The trailer starts by taking us to the inside of the two main characters’ tour bus. We see the comedy duo travels from the big city of Chicago to the midst of the ocean. We are also expecting to see them go back to where the series begins, the Sin City. There are clips of ups and downs in the trailer that resonate with the character’s experiences in the first season. And the trailer features a few bittersweet moments that we are about to see in May.
Jean Smart plays Deborah Vance. Smart is versatile as she earned recognition from Broadway shows, movies, and TV shows. She is known for her portrayal of the role of Lana Gardner on the NBC sitcom Frasier and her Broadway performance of The Man Who Came To Dinner. She also acted in multiple classic comedy movies such as Sweet Home Alabama and The Brady Bunch Movie. Other than Hacks, she’s also involved in other HBO Max projects such as Mare of Easttown.
