The latest reports are that, after wrapping the fifth episode, the show’s production has been stopped for a “course correction.”
NBC is giving the series’ writers time to “tweak the storylines” and work on the scripts, as well as to do some reshooting of a few completed episodes.
Crisis, starring Dermot Mulroney and Gillian Anderson, revolves around a hijacked highschool bus whose passengers are the offspring of many of D.C’s important politics, including the vice-president’s son.
The show’s pilot was considered one of NBC’s strongest bets this season, alongside with The Blacklist. The episodes that followed the pilot were reportedly “losing [their] direction,” so the network decided to take a break on the production and try to get back to the show’s original idea.
Although highly anticipated, it is a midseason show, so scheduling allows for a pause and can still air on the expected date, somewhere in early 2014.
