The fastest teenager in the world is coming to the Arrowverse. Bart Allen, the son of Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen, will be portrayed by Jordan Fisher (To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You) on The CW’s The Flash, via Deadline.
Bart is set to make his first appearance on the 150th episode of The Flash which is set to air later this season on The CW, according to Deadline. Otherwise known as the super-speeder Impulse in the comics, Bart is a wildly impatient youngster who keeps Barry and Iris very busy with all his rambunctious adventures. Fisher is currently billed as a guest star, and there is currently no news as to whether or not he will appear in more than just the one episode.
Fisher announced the casting news on his Instagram account with a photo of himself beside a drawing of Bart. Expressing his excitement, Fisher described the casting as “a dream come true”.

According to TVLine, The Flash storyline is a departure from Impulse’s place in the comics as Don Allen’s son. The lineage of that family tree would make Barry and Iris Bart’s grandparents rather than their parents.
This upcoming episode won’t be the first time Barry has met one of his future children. In season five of The Flash, Barry met his daughter, Tornado Twin Nora, who is also known by the alias of XS, via TVLine. Nora was portrayed by actress Jessica Parker Kennedy (Black Sails).
Fisher is known for being the first biracial actor to star as the lead role in Dear Evan Hanson on Broadway, as well as portraying John Ambrose McClaren in Netflix’s To All the Boys film series, according to Deadline. He is set to both star in and executive produce the upcoming film, Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between.
