A big hit for Fox, Sleepy Hollow was the first series to be renewed this season.
The contemporary television version of the Washington Irving short story of the same name is a big hit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series premiered as the highest rated drama for the network in six seasons. Viewers find Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman’s take on Ichabod Cane and the headless horseman in a modern day New York for this season’s short run of thirteen episodes. Sleepy Hollow is expected to return with a similarly shortened season for 2014-15.
“The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking – it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast,” said Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly. “I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into season two.” Viewers can join stars Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, and Orlando Jones for one – hour on monday nights at 9/8c.
