Nashville is getting the band back together for its return on CMT.
As Deadline reports, Will Chase is set to return to the popular country music series for a guest spot in the Season 5 premiere. Chase’s Luke Wheeler was originally a recurring character in season 2 of the series before becoming a regular for seasons 3 and 4.
Nashville had an uncertain fate back in May when ABC unexpectedly canceled the series only to then be rescued by Lionsgate and CMT. The series centers on the Nashville music scene and follows the complicated relationship between Connie Britton’s Rayna Jaymes and Hayden Panettiere’s Juliette Barnes.
Along with Chase, Britton, and Panettiere, season 5 of Nashville will see the return of Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, and Chris Carmack.
Chase can soon be seen as a regular on ABC and Kevin Williamson’s midseason drama Time After Time. The series follows sci-fi genius H.G. Wells as he uses his newly invented time machine to travel to the modern United States in order to track down Jack the Ripper.
Nashville‘s 5th season is set to air sometime in 2017.
