Ava Allan (Pretty Little Liars, Modern Family, Suits) is returning to The Big Bang Theory universe as Jana Boggs in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. According to ScreenRant, Allan will reprise the character for the first time since appearing in Young Sheldon.
Emily Osment (Hannah Montana, Young & Hungry, The Kominsky Method), who stars as Mandy, revealed Allan’s return on Instagram with a photo of the two filming a restaurant scene together. Allan subsequently confirmed her return on her Instagram Story.

Allan previously portrayed Jana for nearly a dozen episodes of Young Sheldon between seasons three and five. Jana was Georgie Cooper’s girlfriend before their relationship ended and Georgie eventually met Mandy.
Details surrounding Jana’s return have not yet been announced, including why she appears to be spending time with Mandy without Georgie present. The upcoming appearance will mark Allan’s first time playing Jana on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
The series stars Montana Jordan (Young Sheldon, The Big Bang Theory, The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter) as Georgie and Osment as Mandy. Jordan first portrayed the younger version of Georgie in Young Sheldon before continuing the role in the spinoff, which follows the couple as they navigate their marriage, parenthood and Georgie’s tire business.
In addition to Allan, Jordan and Osment, the cast includes Rachel Bay Jones (Young Sheldon, Modern Family, Ben Is Back), Will Sasso (The Three Stooges, Happy Gilmore, Southland Tales), Dougie Baldwin (Nowhere Boys, Upper Middle Bogan, Disjointed), Jessie Prez (Griselda, Deep Woods, Hot Mess Holiday), Zoe Perry (Young Sheldon, The Family, Scandal), Annie Potts (Ghostbusters, Toy Story 4, Designing Women), Matt Letscher (Her, Identity, Devil’s Knot) and Matt Hobby (Young Sheldon, The Grinder, Justine).
Season three premiered earlier this month and has continued several storylines established during the previous season, including Georgie’s reaction to his mother Mary’s relationship with his business rival Fred Fagenbacher. The season has also followed the aftermath of Connor’s arrest and Georgie and Mandy adjusting to their daughter CeeCee beginning preschool.
Allan’s previous television credits also include Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, True Jackson, VP and The Middle. Her film credits include Yes Day, Love Is All You Need? and Most Likely to Murder.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
