For those who don’t know, Bloodaxe is a series that tells a story about one of history’s most famous Norse raiders, Erik Bloodaxe and his wife Gunnhild. The two live in a land torn apart by rivals, shifting loyalties, and bloody betrayals. The couple will fight for the throne of Norway and war is looming as the kings of the Scandinavian countries are also yearning for throne. According to Prime Video, the first season will have an eight-episode run and has been renewed for a second season. If you are a fan of period pieces, than this series will be right up your alley.
