
Marvel has released the first trailer for its upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest during Disney’s D23 Expo 2026, offering a new look at the next chapter of Vision’s story.The footage was unveiled at D23 on Friday, giving audiences their biggest preview yet of the series ahead of its Oct. 14 premiere.
The trailer release had been teased shortly beforehand, with VisionQuest displays appearing around the convention. Paul Bettany (WandaVision, A Knight’s Tale) returns as Vision for the Disney+ series. VisionQuest continues the story established in WandaVision and Agatha All Along, with Marvel positioning the show as the final installment in a television trilogy.
The series will follow Vision as he attempts to understand his memories and identity following the events of WandaVision. Gearing up for a highly anticipated VisionQuest premiere on Oct. 14, the series will also consist of eight episodes.
Earlier coverage also detailed the return of James Spader (The Blacklist, Boston Legal) as Ultron, marking the character’s first major live-action appearance since Avengers: Age of Ultron. Todd Stashwick (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys) will appear as Paladin, while Faran Tahir (Iron Man, Star Trek) reprises his role as Raza.
More recently, mxdwn covered another major addition revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. Ruaridh Mollica (The Franchise, Sebastian) joined the series as Tommy, also known as Speed, adding another connection to the Maximoff family as VisionQuest prepares to conclude the story that began with WandaVision.
Showrunner Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys) is developing the series. Music will also play a role in establishing the show’s identity.
As mxdwn previously reported, Mick Giacchino (The Penguin, Zootopia+) was tapped to compose VisionQuest. That report noted Giacchino’s previous work across Marvel, DC and Disney projects and highlighted his involvement as another connection between the series and the broader comic book television landscape.
With the first trailer now unveiled at D23, Marvel has moved VisionQuest into the final stage of its promotional campaign. The eight-episode series premieres on Disney+.
