According to The Hollywood Reporter, the showrunner of the Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch will be exiting the series ahead of its premiere date. Executive producer and creator Chad Feehan (Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Ray Donovan) has departed the show before it airs next month. Showrunner changes on the Taylor Sheridan (Landman, Wind River) series are known to be common. It is unclear whether Feehan will be replaced if the series gets renewed for a second season.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, created by Sheridan, Dutton Ranch follows Yellowstone fan favorites, Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. The official logline reads: “As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together far from the ghosts of Yellowstone, they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Finn Little (Storm Boy, The Surfer) as Carter, Kelly Reilly (Under Salt Marsh, Sherlock Holmes) as Beth Dutton, Cole Hauser (Good Will Hunting, Dazed and Confused) as Rip Wheeler, Ed Harris (The Truman Show, The Rock) as Everett McKinney, Jai Courtney (Dangerous Animals, War Machine) as Rob-Will. Joining them on the cast are Juan Pablo Raba (The Marksman, Freelance), Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard, The Exception), J.R. Villarreal (Ghost Team One, Ultra Violet & Back Scorpion), Marc Menchaca (No One Gets Out Alive, Dead of Winter), Natalie Alyn Lind (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, The Goldberg’s) and Annette Bening (American Beauty, Open Range).
