The realm of Exandria is ramping up the suspsense, as a unknown battle lies ahead within The Mighty Nein. Stated by Screenrant, in the prior episode we see the group returning back to Zadash after completing a treacherous mission for the Gentleman and then partially splitting up to deal with their own demons. On the other hand, we see that Yasha, voiced by Ashley Johnson (Ben 10, The Last of Us) having carved a path of death and destruction on her journey to locating the beacon.
Reported by Screenrant, the clip shows the group taking the job by the Gentleman, voiced by Nathan Fillion (Castle, The Rookie) in order to take back the beacon from Trent Ikithon, voiced by Mark Strong (Dune: Prophecy). The team must first though retrieve an enchanted invitation in order to attend the party, and told them of a potential target, but to not leave a trace.
The scene shifts towards Fjord, voiced by Travis Willingham (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Sonic Boom), Caleb, voiced by Liam O’Brien (Naruto Shippuden, Tiger and Bunny), and Not, voiced by Sam Riguel (Blue Exorcist, Dispatch). The trio has skillfully infiltrated the compound and successfully located the crucial envelope. Just as they’re about to secure their prize, Caleb’s attention is drawn to a captivating magic book. Without hesitation, he reaches for it, but Fjord quickly intervenes, warning him that any reckless move could leave a trace. This pivotal moment escalates into a tense standoff, threatening to derail their meticulously crafted plan.
Stated by Screenrant, Essek, voiced by Matthew Mercer (Sakamoto’s Day, Attack on Titan), is dealing with his own internal dilemma between his loyalty to the dynasty and his hunger for power. This faith is slowing starting to crumble, when his mother’s hidden illness was discovered and unfortunately was sent to be executed, in which she chooses him to relieve her from her pain.
The season finale of The Mighty Nein is scheduled for December 22, while waiting viewers can watch the current episodes on Prime Video.
