According to Screenrant, the final moments within the first season saw Morgan, played by Kaitlin Olson (Finding Dory, Hacks), Karadec, played by Daniel Sunjata (Manifest, Echoes) and the rest of the police department trying to find and capture David Peck, played by David Giuntoli (Grimm, Superman & Lois) the mastermind behind the killings.
Furthermore, we also see that Morgan finding out her husband Rowan is alive, while also being next on the killer’s hit list as she finds a pack of cards with the words, “We shall play again” on it. According to Screenrant, this could be a new challenge for Morgan within the upcoming season as she must try to outsmart someone as intelligent as her. Olsen further states how she appreciates her character and that Morgan will learn to trust others.

They explained that the upcoming season will take place just a few days after the events of the previous season and will feature a two-part premiere. The duo’s words illustrate what the journey will entail, emphasizing that it will stay true to the main storyline. The season will surely be filled with bizarre cases that the duo must solve.
