

Comicbook revealed a surprising announcement in an article for the animated show X-Men ‘97. The article announced the season three renewal for the series. However, some fans are left confused as the renewal news comes out ahead of the season two premiere. Viewers have only received a season two confirmation on the series. However, the show is rumored to come out in 2026. After a jam-packed season one, viewers cannot get enough of season two teasers. The show promoted new characters and even more plot twists for the new season.
With the season three announcement, Comicbook shared a statement from actress Lenore Zann (Legend of the White Dragon) who stars as Rogue at a panel for Indiana’s Comic Convention. “I’m about to start to go into the studio next week to start on Season three, so I’ve got lots to look forward to.”
X-Men ‘97 gained popularity for the ’90s style animation, as well as following the original characters from the franchise. With the style and its compelling plot lines, fans rave over the show. The series follows a group of “mutants” who are people with supernatural abilities. With all the original characters work together again, we see the group struggle with their powers as they constantly save a world where the people in it do not accept them.
Despite no release date, fans are still ready to tune into the show.
