The highly awaited Marvel series, Daredevil: Born Again, which follows that journey of the titled character, played by Charlie Cox (The Defenders), as he will make an surprising truce with his archenemesis, Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio (Echo). According to Screenrant, the series journey has been met with some bumps, with speculation arising from perceived criticisms of the original Netflix show’s tone and direction.

The series showrunner, Dario Scardapane (Memory), goes on to clarify his comment within in an interview with Screenrant,”were taken way out of context” and continues with ,”all television, at the end of the day, is two characters in a room having a conversation. And the thing about the Netflix show is they did that really, really, really well.”

Additionally, in the interview with Screenrant, Scardapane goes on to further state that he about referring to the previous Daredevil series,”the length and breadth of a lot of those scenes in the older show. I did the exact same thing in this show with enthusiasm and abandon.”  He further adds ,”I don’t really think that what was taken as a swipe was meant as a swipe.”

According to a mxdwn post, other returning member characters, including Cox and Dinforio, will include Elden Henson (The Mighty Ducks) as Foggie, Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room) as Karen, and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) as Frank Castle. The new series will also include new characters such as White Tiger, played by Kamar de los Reyes (All American) and Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy), whose role has yet to be announced.

While fans await on the highly release of Daredevil: Born Again which is scheduled for March 14 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT with a two episode premier available to watch, the entire previous series, as well as all others in the Marvel franchise are available to stream on Disney+.
