NBC debuts a new show through a teaser trailer called Grosse Pointe Garden Society. From the creator of Good Girls, the trailer opens up with a hook on the characters burying a body. As the trailer progresses, we see a few familiar faces. Four characters played by Ben Rapport (For The People), Aja Naomi King (How To Get Away With Murder), Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), AnnaSophia Robb (Soul Surfer).

The show takes place in suburbs of Detroit bringing in the most peculiar residents. Four friends create a gardening club to better themselves.  Soon, their innocent intentions turn deadly when a murder happens and they’re the ones burying a body. As a police investigation breaks out, the four friends band together to keep the very secret that could ruin all of them. 

The show will have twelve episodes, unraveling the murder. As the trailer progresses, we meet the members of the Garden Society who come from all places. Birdie, played by Fumero, is spunky, and extroverted. As the murder weighs on the Garden Society, they find that not everyone will be on their side. Soon, the friends speculate whether Birdie is with them or against them. Although, it seems as if there’s more than one person ready to expose their secret. Catherine, played by King, not only is a part of the Garden Society but has some secrets of her own. Catherine openly admits to having an affair and after her husband finds out he makes it his life mission to ruin her life. Alice, played by Robb, is a professor who’s being threatened by one of her students. This show brings the drama and the murder mystery all in one. Will the Garden Society be able to keep their deadly secret? As they said in the trailer “Every garden has unwanted guests there’s nothing left to burn it all down”.
