Peacock’s original series Twisted Metal ,season one episode two entitled “3RNCRCS,” kicks off with Anthony Mackie’s John Doe as he and Stephanie Beatriz’s Quiet try to run away from Samoa Joe’s Sweet Tooth due to them trespassing in his area. The interesting part about this is how John ends up befriending Sweet Tooth as a result of them liking the same type of music while Quiet runs away to hide. In Sweet Tooth’s mind, he sees that John is different from the rest of his victims as he knows the lyrics to his favorite song. Deep down he probably thinks that he could be a great audience member for the show he wants to put on.
Additionally, the viewer sees Mike Mitchell’s Stu and Tahj Vaughans’s Mike as they become a part of Thomas Church’s Agent Stone’s gang. The surprising thing about this is how Stu does not like killing innocent civilians. In his mind, he sees that people who have done nothing to him, or Mike should just be left alone. However, Mike does not care and just wants to live a good life even if he kills innocent people. Deep down Stu knows he will probably have to leave given as how Agent Stone is crazy and will kill him if he says no. The viewer can assume by this that he will end up with John and Quiet. This is due to them being somewhat nice people compared to Agent Stone and Mike.
At the end of the episode, John and Quiet managed to survive their encounter with Sweet Tooth as a result of them being honest about his show. The interesting part about this is how Quiet talks for the first time. In her mind, she probably learned to stay silent as a defense mechanism to deal with the world. However, now as she is getting closer to John as they faced a foe together, she may be starting to trust him. Unfortunately, things do not go well as they arrive at a checkpoint set up by Agent Stone. In an ironic way, Quiet comes face to face with the man that helped kill her brother. This leads to both of them getting captured as John is considered an accomplice of Quiet.
