Previously on Prime’s The Summer I Turned Pretty, Belly (Lola Tung) spends more time with Conrad (Christopher Briney) as they stay in the summer house, preparing for the wedding. Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Belly realize how much of a responsibility the wedding is, taking into account the finances and their plans. Conrad convinces Laurel (Jackie Chung) to support Belly and the wedding, having her surprise Belly at the bridal shower. Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Denise (Isabelle Briggs) decide to create a plan to make a gaming business together.
The episode begins with Belly in Cousins. Ever since the moment with Conrad and the surfing incident, things have been awkward between them. Jeremiah finally makes it to the house where Conrad is planning his bachelor party.
Laurel and John (Colin Ferguson) are surprised to see Adam (Tom Everett Scott) bringing Kayleigh (Emma Ishta) with him to lunch. Laurel tells John that Kayleigh is Adam’s mistress.
Anika (Sofia Bryant), Taylor (Rain Spencer), and Belly prepare for the bachelorette party. Taylor says that they’re doing a bar crawl. Belly encourages Anika to go for Conrad, even though Anika wouldn’t do that to her friend.
Taylor’s in the kitchen, and Steven comes to the house with Denise. Denise awkwardly stands there, and Steven introduces them to each other. Denise meets Belly as well.
The guys and the girls are in separate spaces of the house, all practicing their dances for the wedding. Denise awkwardly watches the boys as they have her pretend to be Belly.
Later that night, it’s time for the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Each groups go to a separate bar. Conrad asks about Steven and Denise. Jeremiah says that they should be together, but Steven says they’re just friends.

John and Laurel are at a bar, and she’s still upset that Adam brought Kayleigh. John tells her that she’s not upset about Kayleigh, but that she’s upset Susannah is gone and isn’t here to cherish this moment with everyone. John and Laurel flirt with each other before John makes a move, kissing her.
Belly thanks Taylor for convincing Laurel to come to the bridal shower, but Taylor tells her that it wasn’t her who did it, which makes Belly confused.
The girls are going to their next location when the boys come out, doing the same thing. Belly asks to speak with Conrad. She asks him if he was the one who spoke to Laurel, and he tells her the truth: he did.
Denise joins the girls for the rest of the night. They go to a tiki bar, and Belly begins to loosen up, trying to get rid of her thoughts about Conrad and Laurel. Taylor asks Denise if she likes Steven, and she says no, but Taylor says that she’s the girl for him. Taylor knows that Steven likes her. While dancing on the dance floor, Belly has Conrad in her head, and she starts to panic, going to the bathroom. She’s rambling on to Taylor, saying that she’s never pictured having a wedding or getting married to Jeremiah, only to Conrad. She tells Taylor that ever since Christmas, when it was just her and Conrad in Cousins, things have changed. Taylor tries to calm Belly down, and the girls go back to the house.
At the bar, Conrad comes back to the guys from the bathroom when he overhears them talking about when Jeremiah and Lacie got together during spring break. Conrad turns red, furious, and stares from afar at his brother. Jeremiah walks past as he speeds to the bathroom, and Conrad follows behind. Jeremiah throws up, and Conrad decides to leave instead of confronting him.
Belly is waiting on the beach for Jeremiah, only to find Conrad there instead. Conrad tells her that Jeremiah is drunk and about him and Lacie. But he doesn’t know that she knew. He’s confused as to why she’s still with him. She tells him to leave her alone. He tells her that he still loves her and that his feelings will never go away. She tells him it’s too late. Conrad gets emotional when he pours his heart out to her. He tells her not to marry Jeremiah. She coldly tells him, “You will never be what Jere is to me.”
Steven takes Denise to her motel, and Lucinda (Kristen Connolly) is there, who happens to be very intoxicated. She tells him that she doesn’t want him to be with Denise, but with Taylor. He helps her to her room.
Belly lies in bed with Taylor and silently cries herself to sleep.
Overall, this was a good episode. Between Jeremiah’s rowdy friends and Belly’s intrusive thoughts, there was a lot of chaos. It was clear to see that Christopher Briney’s character, Conrad, was beginning to break, holding in all of his emotions. The moment on the beach was the final string, telling Belly how he truly felt about her being with Jeremiah, the wedding, and even acknowledging how badly he had treated her when they were dating four years ago. Even though Belly told him that there’s not a chance they’d get back together, it’s obvious that she still has a lot of feelings for him. Now that they’ve said how they’ve felt, how will everything from now to the wedding go?
