Our 7th episode starts off with Ken talking with Nicole on what she was doing in the bathroom, since her computer has been inactive for 22 minutes. He then goes on to explain that he’s using a program that lets him know when the employee’s computers are inactive. Travis shows everyone his mouse nudger so Adelola’s mouse would move every so often, so it would seem like they were doing something.
Ned then explains that Marv and his team are working in the Toledo Truth Teller building temporarily, and that they can see everything they are doing. Ned and the rest of the employees are pretending to be doing something, just to look good in front of the boss (this trick actually works). Mare is seen opening a card that Ned gave her, apologizing for misidentifying her sexuality, with Ned snooping in the background. She of course throws it out, and is still pretty mad at him.
Marv is then introduced to the other employees of the Truth Teller, and Esmerelda brings a list of stories to Ned, which he reminds her that they aren’t doing. She reveals Marv wants these stories to be written. Ned goes to talk to Marv about the stories, which ken tries to stop, because he doesn’t want to lose his job to him. Ned tells him it’s exciting he’s there, but it might be more than the team could handle. With the other team members being nosy, Marv gets a notification that the painters on his floor are nearly done. He heads out saying goodbye, then he says oddly “love ya.” Ned is extremely happy with this, and says I love you back, and Marv obliges, saying he loves him and everything in the company.

Next, Adelola and Oscar are kind of mockingly saying I love you to each other. The whole team seems to be sort of turning against Ned a bit, especially since he did just say I love you to the guy who’s in charge of everyone. Ken and Esmerelda are talking about Ned and his lovey moment, and Ken tells Esmerelda that they need to get rid of Marv.
We then cut to Ned asking if Marv would like to watch him do a story meeting he’s doing soon. Esmerelda and Ken are trying to talk with the janitor who overheard the story, and are trying to curry favor with him to keep him silent, telling him they’ll make him head of marketing if he says nothing. We then get put into the story meeting that Marv arrives at, and start talking about what to do.
After a storm off, Marv asks Ned how the story is going, which he is obviously not having a good time with. Marv tells him he should ask out Mare. The Janitor is talking to the camera crew about the marketing, when Ken and Esmerelda interrupt him before he says too much (but the whole plan’s been caught already). Ned presents the Jeep story to Marv, telling him he hates it, and Marv has no problem with him removing it, even encouraging him to throw it away. Ned tells him upfront he doesn’t like him, and Marv walks off, telling him he won’t be in the way.
Everyone once again, is a little agitated with Ned, telling him Marv can shut down the Truth Teller if he feels like it. Ken and Esmerelda try to tell Marv that the janitor Nate is taking drugs, to try and discredit him if he said anything. Ned and the other employees are trying to write an article about Marv as an apology, which Ned tries to read to him. Marv tells him to stop, he isn’t his daddy, and that this is a business. He wouldn’t shut down the company over a bad article, just over bad sales. The end credit scene takes place at night in the office, where a text conversation between Mare and Ned is going.
The show does appear to be getting better, albeit still not a super great watch. There has been a notable increase in the episode content, especially in this episode and the previous one, where it feels less boring, and generally has more interesting qualities going on. With only three episodes remaining, hopefully the quality picks up even further.
